To the incredible BNT music fans--

I am so excited once again to return to Tokyo this Fall for another week of shows at one of our favorite venues in the world, The Blue Note Tokyo! I want to thank the BNT staff for inviting us again...it’s always our most enjoyable week of the year―I love Japan!

As you may know, I really like bringing someone along on our trips to introduce the Japanese audience to―someone truly talented with a lot to share. Last year it was the incredible South African guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler. We had a blast! And this year, the fun and inspiring music will no doubt continue with the wonderful Spencer Day. I’ve known Spencer for a few years now, and he is an incredible singer, songwriter and pianist. Part Michael Buble, part Billy Joel, part Rufus Wainwright...he is one of the most dynamic performers I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t wait to introduce him at our shows at the Blue Note.

Of course we will have our awesome band along as well. I look forward to seeing you there―for another great week of music at the Blue Note Tokyo.

Once again, domo arigato gozaimasu for all the support, love and encouragement. It means the world to me. See you soon!

素晴しいブルーノート東京の音楽ファンのみなさん−

今年の秋、世界中でもっとも好きなヴェニューのひとつ、ブルーノート東京にまた出演することができるのが本当に楽しみだよ。招いてくれるブルーノート東京に感謝している・・・ブルーノート東京に出演する1週間はいつでも、1年のうちでももっとも素晴しいひとときになるんだ-日本が本当に大好きなんだよ！

ご存知の通り、日本に行くときはいつも、日本のオーディエンスに紹介するために才能ある素晴しいアーティストと一緒に行くようにしているんだ。去年は驚くべき南アフリカのギタリスト／シンガー、ジョナサン・バトラーと一緒で、すごいライブになったよ！そして今年も素晴しいスペンサー・デイが一緒で、楽しくてワクワクするようなライブになることは間違いないね。スペンサーのことは何年も前から知っていて、驚くべき才能を持ったシンガー、ソングライター、ピアニストなんだよ。マイケル・ブーブレのようで、ビリー・ジョエルのようで、ルーファス・ウェインライトのようで・・・。スペンサーは自分が長年見てきたなかでも、もっともダイナミックなパフォーマーの一人。ブルーノート東京でみなさんに彼を紹介するのが、待ちきれないね。

もちろん、私の素晴しいバンドも一緒。また皆さんと会えることを・・・ブルーノート東京での素晴しい音楽の1週間を過ごせることを、楽しみにしているよ。

もう1度みなさんのサポート、愛と激励に“ドモ　アリガト”と言わせて欲しい。私にとって本当に大切なことなんだ。もうすぐお会いしましょう！
